Privacy Policy di Chord8
Chord8 is a guitar practice app that helps you train chord changes with guided workouts, a metronome and progress tracking. This policy explains what data is collected and how it is used.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Alessandro Pitocchi, operator of the Chord8 app. For privacy requests, support or data deletion, contact alessandro@pitocchi.it or use the Support page.
2. Using Chord8 without an account
You can use Chord8 as a guest. In that case your practice data is stored only on your device and is not sent to our servers. If you sign in, your data is synced to the cloud so you can access it across devices.
3. Data collected
Chord8 collects only the data needed to provide the app:
- email address, for authentication and account management;
- name or display name, if provided by Apple or Google sign-in;
- a user ID generated by the authentication system;
- practice data: the chords you know, your level, directional chord-change stats (mastery, tempo), completed sessions and streaks.
Chord8 does not collect your location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and does not record audio. A microphone usage description is included only because an audio library references the microphone API; the app does not record or transmit any audio.
4. Purposes and legal basis
The data is used to:
- create and manage your account;
- save and sync your practice progress across devices;
- show your stats, streaks and per-change mastery;
- schedule an optional local practice reminder;
- manage the Chord8 Pro subscription status.
For users in the European Economic Area, the legal basis is performance of the service agreement for data needed to operate the app, and your consent for optional notifications.
5. Notifications
The daily practice reminder is an optional local notification scheduled on your device. It does not send data to a server and does not use a push token. You can turn it off in the app or in your device settings.
6. Third-party services and international transfers
Chord8 uses Supabase for authentication, database and cloud sync, and RevenueCat to manage the subscription status associated with a user identifier. Sign-in providers Apple and Google may process authentication data when you use them. Payments are handled directly by the Apple App Store: Chord8 does not collect or store your card or payment details.
The app does not sell personal data and does not use data for behavioral advertising or advertising tracking.
Supabase, RevenueCat, Apple and Google are based in the United States. For EEA users, data transfers are handled under the safeguards required by GDPR, including the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the providers.
7. Data retention
Data is retained while your account is active or while it is needed to provide the app. You can delete your account and its data at any time from within the app.
8. Account deletion
You can delete your account from the app in Profile → Settings → Delete account. Deletion removes your profile and the practice data linked to your account.
9. Security
Data is protected through authentication, access controls and Row-Level Security on the database, so each user can only access their own data.
10. Children
Chord8 is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
11. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection regarding your personal data. EEA users also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority. California and other US residents have the right to know, access, correct and delete their personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. 12. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect app changes or legal requirements. The latest version will always be available at this address.
Chord8 è un'app per esercitarsi alla chitarra, che aiuta ad allenare i cambi di accordo con workout guidati, metronomo e tracciamento dei progressi. Questa informativa descrive quali dati vengono raccolti e come vengono usati.
1. Titolare del trattamento
Il titolare del trattamento è Alessandro Pitocchi, gestore dell'app Chord8. Per richieste privacy, supporto o cancellazione dati scrivi a alessandro@pitocchi.it o usa la pagina Supporto.
2. Uso di Chord8 senza account
Puoi usare Chord8 da ospite. In tal caso i dati di allenamento restano solo sul tuo dispositivo e non vengono inviati ai nostri server. Se accedi, i dati vengono sincronizzati nel cloud per usarli su più device.
3. Dati raccolti
Chord8 raccoglie solo i dati necessari al funzionamento dell'app:
- indirizzo email, per autenticazione e gestione account;
- nome o nome visualizzato, se fornito dall'accesso Apple o Google;
- un identificativo utente generato dal sistema di autenticazione;
- dati di allenamento: gli accordi che conosci, il livello, le statistiche direzionali dei cambi (mastery, tempo), le sessioni completate e gli streak.
Chord8 non raccoglie posizione, contatti o identificativi pubblicitari, e non registra audio. La descrizione d'uso del microfono è presente solo perché una libreria audio referenzia le API del microfono; l'app non registra né trasmette alcun audio.
4. Finalità e base giuridica
I dati vengono usati per:
- creare e gestire l'account;
- salvare e sincronizzare i progressi tra i device;
- mostrare statistiche, streak e mastery per cambio;
- programmare un promemoria locale facoltativo;
- gestire lo stato dell'abbonamento Chord8 Pro.
Per gli utenti nello Spazio Economico Europeo la base giuridica è l'esecuzione del contratto per i dati necessari al funzionamento dell'app, e il consenso per le notifiche facoltative.
5. Notifiche
Il promemoria giornaliero è una notifica locale facoltativa programmata sul dispositivo. Non invia dati a un server e non usa token push. Puoi disattivarla nell'app o dalle impostazioni del dispositivo.
6. Servizi terzi e trasferimenti extra-UE
Chord8 usa Supabase per autenticazione, database e sync, e RevenueCat per gestire lo stato dell'abbonamento associato a un identificativo utente. I provider di accesso Apple e Google possono elaborare i dati di autenticazione quando li usi. I pagamenti sono gestiti direttamente dall'Apple App Store: Chord8 non raccoglie né conserva i dati della carta o del metodo di pagamento.
L'app non vende dati personali e non li usa per pubblicità comportamentale o tracking pubblicitario.
Supabase, RevenueCat, Apple e Google hanno sede negli Stati Uniti. Per gli utenti SEE i trasferimenti avvengono nel rispetto delle garanzie previste dal GDPR, incluse le Clausole Contrattuali Standard adottate dai fornitori.
7. Conservazione dei dati
I dati vengono conservati finché l'account è attivo o finché necessari a fornire l'app. Puoi eliminare l'account e i relativi dati in qualsiasi momento dall'app.
8. Eliminazione account
Puoi eliminare l'account dall'app in Profilo → Impostazioni → Elimina account. L'eliminazione rimuove il profilo e i dati di allenamento collegati all'account.
9. Sicurezza
I dati sono protetti tramite autenticazione, controlli di accesso e Row-Level Security sul database, così ogni utente accede solo ai propri dati.
10. Minori
Chord8 non è rivolta a minori di 13 anni e non raccoglie consapevolmente i loro dati personali.
11. Diritti dell'utente
In base alla legge applicabile, puoi richiedere accesso, rettifica, cancellazione, limitazione, portabilità od opposizione sui tuoi dati personali. Gli utenti SEE possono presentare reclamo all'autorità di controllo (in Italia, il Garante Privacy). I residenti in California e altri stati USA hanno diritto di conoscere, accedere, correggere ed eliminare i propri dati, senza subire discriminazioni. Per esercitare qualsiasi diritto scrivi a alessandro@pitocchi.it.
12. Modifiche a questa policy
Questa Privacy Policy può essere aggiornata per riflettere modifiche dell'app o requisiti normativi. La versione più recente sarà sempre disponibile a questo indirizzo.
